blood

This series is the result of experimenting with one of the most beautiful liquids existing on planet eart: blood. To be more precise, with my own menstural blood.

It might seem a bit extreme, but the fact, that half of humanity monthly deals with this and yet is failed to be recognised by medicine or even shamed for having a period. We all come from this substance, we all were nurished by a cozy, warm pillow of blood inside our mothers womb. This blood is powerful, beautiful and not disgusting, nor abnormal, nor to be hidden...

All the paintings are covered with vernis to protect the haemoglobin.
